I reading conflicting information about whether Lisinopril is good or bad for the kidneys. I was put on Lisinopril for CKD. But I’ve been reading about people who got kidney damage from taking Lisinopril which is it?
Lisinopril is an ACE-inhibitor that is used to preserve kidney function in patients who have chronic kidney disease. It may rarely cause acute kidney damage in the case of artery blockage to both kidneys, very severe heart failure, or allergic reaction. In most cases, Lisinopril is good for kidney patients.
